Leading a Shift From Toronto's Financial District
A recent article in the Globe and Mail about Sun Life Financial, highlights some of the 2013 tenant trends from our previous blog post. The Cushman downtown office Team was involved in this marquee transaction that will see Sun Life consolidating two locations into a brand new 300,000 sf office building in 2016 near the Toronto waterfront.
Sun Life has selected this location and building for a host of reasons but among the attractions are the proximity to Union Station transit and updated space. They are one of many tenants who are seeking “flight to quality” and are willing to pay a higher rent per square foot but still see overall savings from energy efficiency/LEED building standards and efficient space utilization.
